Without a permanent physical space, 
general store contemporary is a
couple who are both artists and
curators that share similar interests 
in art, music and literature.

The idea leaps and bounds to create 
events, exhibitions and situations 
exploring the cross over of all
artistic disciplines. We hope that 
what we represent, discover and 
transcend perpetuates a constant 
state of creative flux highlighting 
the importance to what is 
contemporary fresh and innovative.
 
The identity appears and disappears, 
occupying basements, garages, 
apartment rooms, bars, clubs even 
courtyards for a period of time. 
It is everywhere and nowhere at 
the same time.

Organised and presented by general store contemporary

Berlin media artist Sven Konig has been invited and performed across a 
wide diverse range of art institutions, contemporary music, sonic arts 
and new media festivals throughout Europe and North America such as 
FutureSonic, Manchester, UK, Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich, Switzerland to 
Transmediale, Berlin. Interactive Media Lab, Brussels, IRCAM Centre 
Pompidou and Caroussel Du Louvre, Paris, The Distillery, Boston USA, 
Society of Art and Technology (SAT), Montreal to the Canadian Centre 
for Contemporary Art, Toronto, Canada. This will be his first live 
performance in Australia.

Imagine slicing and dicing audio to recreate any sound on the fly by 
matching bits to a database of every piece of recorded music ever made.
